Introduction
I have spent a significant portion of my life serving my country as a proud member of the Marine Corps, Army, and National Guard. My service has had a lasting affect on my life. I am grateful for the strength and character I developed during those years. Although training and combat operations were extremely challenging at times, there is no doubt that I am a better person as a result of my service and I have a much different outlook on life.
I have created this little space on the web to share my thoughts, views, and ideas about karma, religion, and life in hopes that friends, family, and strangers alike will open their minds and look for truth in what we call life.

You may or may not agree with any of my thoughts, views, or ideas and that.'s okay. They are what I've found to be true either by first-hand experience, by observation, or by finding enough evidence to come to a conclusion.
About Me
I am married to an intelligent, open-minded woman and we have three wonderful children. Karma is a very popular teaching in our family along with sarcasm, humility, and patience. I am thankful to have such an intellectual, loving family to share my life with. They give me the strength and love I need to to go to sleep in the evening with a sense of fulfillment and wake up in the morning anxious to live another day.
I am an Atheist and I do not believe in imaginary deities. I do not believe in anything I do not know to be true. I do not believe in heaven or hell, God or Satan, or the stories written about them. I do, however, believe in many Buddhist philosophies and believe that you reap what you sow. I encourage everyone to look for their own truth and find the courage to accept what they might find on that quest.
Although, I firmly believe religion is needed in our society, not everyone needs religion. I will not try to dissuade you from your beliefs. I only ask that you extend the same courtesy. This great nation was founded on the freedom of religion. By definition, the freedom of religion is also the freedom from religion. I am open to conversation but I've come to realize most Christians cannot even fathom the thought of not believing in a God of some sort.
It is said by many Christians that "I've been where you are at" or "I was lost once" but the truth is, if you've been an Atheist, you'd still be an Atheist. It's not that I lost my way or lost my faith in God or Jesus. It's that I do not believe in God, any God.
I have accepted that I do not know what happens to our souls when we die. No one alive knows. I understand why people would want to believe in heaven and hell. It's comforting when faced with evil people or the loss of a loved one or if you are facing death yourself. Much like life, there is no certainty in death either. Besides death itself of course.
